Our Story
Play Sharity was first established in Deming, NM, when a group of five mothers came together with the same hopes and dreams: To create a safe place for children to come together that was clean, safe, interactive, and full of fun. What they created was a community of parents, children, and caregivers embarking on projects to promote family and child wellbeing.
In 2022, when a group in Gallup came together with a similar vision for their community, Play Sharity offered to partner with and support a Gallup location.
Since then, Play Sharity Gallup Children's Museum has been hosting pop-up children's museums at community events and making plans for a permanent museum location.
2018
Play Sharity Foundation was established in Deming, New Mexico.
2020
Play Sharity Foundation opened their first location in Deming, NM.
APRIL
2023
Gallup started a pop-up museum at local events like Arts Crawl.
JULY
2023
Gallup partnered with Play Sharity and will open a second location of Play Sharity in Gallup.
OCT
2023
Gallup hosted their first annual fundraiser called A Day of Play with about 500 people in attendance.
Locations
Play Sharity Gallup Children's Museum has been established in partnership with the Play Sharity Foundation, which has established other children's museums in New Mexico.
